Q: Why do you do preorders?
A: Preorders are a way to finance a project before it is manufactured! Manufacturing a new product can be extremely costly with high minimum order quantities, so by doing a preorder a small business owner is able to pay for the high upfront costs of production and can estimate how many pieces to order. This helps small business owners finance bigger projects they couldn't pay for out of pocket and avoid excess inventory.
Q: What are the changes and delays that can happen with a preorder?
A: The reasons can vary wildly, but they typically have to do with having to resample a product if it doesn't match the quality or vision of the original design, unforseen issues with production, holidays, shipping delays due to bad weather or other uncontrollable factors, etc. The timelines provided are always estimations based on what the manufacturer has stated and how products have historically done.
Q: Can I change my address if I moved?
A: Yes! I HIGHLY reccomend that you email me at info@kokoseoul.com with your address change as soon as you know the address that you are moving to. If not you can email me anytime before I ship out your order. However, the longer you wait and the closer it gets to the ship date I cannot 100% guarantee that I'll be able to catch your message in time to change it, so please please let me know soon as you can!
Q: What do the 5 dots signify in the preorder timeline?
A: The dots are as follows:
1. Item has not been ordered yet
2. Item is ordered and has entered production
3. Item has been shipped to my warehouse
4. Item has arrived at my warehouse
5. Item has begun shipping out to customers
